— NEO Mission Statement
Intensive Outpatient Program
Structured Care. Genuine Connection.
NEO provides a professionally facilitated IOP that goes beyond symptom management. Our program addresses the full landscape of recovery — the patterns of thinking, behavior, identity, and relationship that sustain addiction.
Group Therapy
Professionally facilitated group sessions that build insight, accountability, and community among peers in recovery.
Individual Counseling
One-on-one sessions with a licensed clinician to address personal history, co-occurring concerns, and individualized recovery goals.
Psychoeducation
Structured learning on the neuroscience of addiction, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and building a recovery lifestyle.
Case Management
Coordination of care across housing, employment, legal, and medical needs to support stability throughout treatment.
Evidence-Based Practices
NEO integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and trauma-informed care into every aspect of treatment — grounded in clinical research and delivered with genuine human connection.
The NEO Curriculum
A Proprietary Framework for Lasting Change
Our curriculum was developed to address the dimensions of recovery that standard IOP programs often overlook — identity, meaning, relationships, and purpose.
Identity & Self-Concept
Exploring who you are beyond addiction — values, strengths, and the self you are building in recovery.
Emotional Regulation
Developing the capacity to experience, tolerate, and respond to difficult emotions without substances.
Relational Health
Understanding attachment patterns, rebuilding trust, and cultivating relationships that support recovery.
Meaning & Purpose
Connecting to what matters — work, family, spirituality, community — as the foundation of a life worth living.
Relapse Prevention
Practical skills for identifying triggers, managing cravings, and building a sustainable recovery plan.
Who We Serve
Adults Ready to Do the Work
NEO serves adults 18 and older who are motivated to engage in structured outpatient treatment for substance use disorders. We work with individuals stepping down from residential care, those seeking an alternative to inpatient treatment, and people who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy provides.
For Referral Partners
We partner with hospitals, detox facilities, primary care providers, courts, and employee assistance programs across North Central Massachusetts. Our clinical team is available to consult on appropriate level-of-care placement and coordinate warm handoffs.
